Only a few players who started against Chelsea appeared for this one, showing the true strength of our squad. After a largely dull first half the team showed the difference in class in the second.

Once again John Utaka looks like he could be a class act, breaking from the half way line and beating the goalkeeper on a one on one, something so many Pompey players have failed to do in recent years.

Utaka again looks like he could be quite a player for us this season and the team as a whole looked far better in the second half and deserved a draw, unless of course you are a plastic Manc or Alex Ferguson in which case its all the refs fault!
