View Article  Portsmouth 7 v 4 Reading

WOW!!

Record score for a Premiership game and not including friendlies and testimonials the most goals I've seen in a match as well!

How Reading managed to score 4 I don't understand as we out played them totally and could easily have got into double figures ourselves.

Benjani probably scored his tally for the season in one game, Davis was once again awesome and Diop again shows what a shrewd buy he was. Even Nugent looked good once he came on!!

Pity the rest of the season will be dull in comparison

View Article  Burnley 0 v 1 Portsmouth

Another game that looks easy on paper but always a potential upset, as it was Dave Nugent continued his record in the League Cup by scoring a contoversial winner (was it handball?)

With 5 premiership teams being knocked out (ManUre, Middlesbrough, Fulham, Aston Villa and Birmingham) maybe its our turn for a trip to Wembley!

View Article  Blackburn 0 v 1 Portsmouth

At last an away win!

Known for being a physically tough team Blackburn found a match in a Pompey team full of strength and no small amount of skill either. Kanu continues to defy the critics with another great display and the all important goal.

Unsung hero so far this season has to be Sean Davis, often criticized but this year turning in some great performances in the holding role of midfield.

View Article  Fucking CSA!!!

One less child to support and another whose now 16 so how much less a month do I pay in maintenance? Fuck all thats what!

No wonder people avoid paying, must be great being on the receiving end of all this income.

View Article  Portsmouth 0 v 0 Liverpool

A great performance by the team, for once we were not desperately hanging on at the end. Although the papers did their normal "Liverpool were below par" excuse I believe it was our quality that made life difficult for them.

Could so easily have been a victory if Kanu had managed to put away his penalty, unfortunately the general feeling was he was going to miss when he lined up to take it!.

Great debut by Papa Bouba Diop, hopefully he won't go the same way as Amdy Faye and play like that only a couple of times a season.

View Article  England 3 v 0 Russia

My first visit to new Wembley and at last a good England performance!

Hopefully McLaren will not revert to playing the same old players who have let us down consistently before, lets have players fighting for their place in the team

View Article  Paul Robinson

Got an easy ride against Israel yesterday during Englands 3-0 win so looks like he will keep his place against Russia, I was personally hoping James would be in goal for my first visit to new Wembley

View Article  Sol Campbell

After all the talk an rumours of him being unhappy and likely to move on he has now signed a contract extension, whether this stops specualtion come January remains to be seen but we should get more money for him now if he does go!

View Article  Arsenal 3 v 1 Portsmouth

Well a trip to Arsenal isn't normally a good one but we had hopes this time. How wrong we were!

The defence that was so strong last year looks very vulnerable this time around although Sylvain Distin is looking good.

At least Kanu scored contender for goal of the season, it was intended wasn't it?

View Article  Deadline Day!

Well it was probably the dullest transfer deadline day for many years as far as Portsmouth were concerned.

The main interest was which big name striker we would sign, as it was we got a defender and a midfielder!

Glen Johnson and Papa Bouba Diop are both good players on their day and increase the depth of squad, losing Gary O'Neil may haunt us but he's not the greatest midfield player in the world. Dejan Stefanovic served us well but the team has gone beyond him ability wise.

Dave Nugent didn't move and neither did Sol Campbell or Matty Taylor
