View Article  Fecking useless Post Office

Got delivery of my latest toy, an Alesis Nanobass, kindly sent recorded delivery by the person I purchased it from.

No one home when it was delivered so what does the kind postman do? Drops it through the window, height of around 7ft. Guess what, it doesn't work anymore.

Luckily the the seller has agreed to take it back and chase the Post Office himself for compensation, the fact that no one signed for it and the postman wrote "dropped through window" on the delivery card should help!

Introduction of new rules and the league system meant all player lasted until the final hand. Possibly due to two of our more gun ho playters being absent!

Apart from the slight problem that XP doesn't recognize 4GB RAM the upgrade was rather painless. It does still give me 3.25 GB though.

Most importantly Crysis runs a dream at high settings! Could be a few late nights at the weekend

Well just the game actually.

The almost sequel to FarCry, the best PC game ever (except for Championship Manager). Unfortunately it needs a very high powered machine to run it at anything like a good detail level worthy of the game.

I'm hoping my Core 2 Duo E6600 is up to the job and it;s just my old but trustworthy nVidia Geforce 9700 GT which is struggling.

As such I have just ordered a new Geforce 8800 GTS 512 and 4GB of RAM to hopefully make the game far more playable.

Here we go again, let's hope this one gets further than the last attempts

A 36,000 seater with indoor 10,000 capacity exhibition centre to be completed by 2011

Just got home from seeing James at the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth on their IOW Festival warm up gig.

First time at this venue and it's great with a full house, far better than any "stadium" type concert.

A lot of songs from their new album (Hey Ma) and the usual classics but unfortunately no Getting Away With It which is my favourite.

The drink and the post concert curry has probably fooked my very encouraging weight loss this week

Went bowling last night with the EAB boys, equaled my best ever score (156) on my first attempt finishing second over all.

Unfortunately the alcohol kicked in on the second attempt and I got a rather poor 115

View Article  Jermain Defoe - Another milestone

After achieving a record number of England internationals on the pitch at the same time we equal it again as all three play against Trinidad and Tobago.

Jermain Defoe then become the first Portsmouth player to score an England goal since Mark Hateley in 1984, getting two in the process
